Apple watch will avoid distraction while driving vehicle
Distractions can be dangerous when doing serious tasks, like driving a vehicle. The smartphone is a great source of distraction. Some people paid great costs for these distractions. There are a huge number of accidents reasoned by smartphone distractions.
Many smartphones have now technologies to reduce these numbers. Companies are working on devices which have the ability to prevent accidents. Like, we found an app that can avoid accidents by disabling smartphone’s feature while driving a vehicle.
Besides smartphone, a smartwatch is now, too, becoming a distraction. Some sites think that they create more distraction than smartphones. Apple is the reason people use this device to get notifications to get updated. Apple watch covers almost 50% shares of shipments of smartwatches, till now.
Even, according to a UK group, Apple watch is the reason to more road accidents. People check this wearable device to receive notifications. Naturally, this again is a distraction which has a dangerous consequence.
Being top in smartwatch industry, Apple recognized the problem and find a solution. An Apple patent application suggests a smartwatch feature will reduce the amount of notification in driving mode and can disable the gesture.
The smartwatch will find the driving state with the motion sensors. The motion sensors will detect the vehicle speed and turns. The watch will find turns from an angular velocity that a watch makes when a driver makes a turn.
When the watch will determine that the angular velocity crosses the threshold value, it will sure that a vehicle is making a turn.
The app will reduce the amount of notification in a normal driving state. But making a turn is a sensitive task, so the watch will disable the gesture in that time. By making it not useable in driving, it will avoid distractions and save its user from mishappening.
Apart from Apple, we found a patent of LG smartwatch which tells a driver a right situation to drive.
This invention shows that apart from providing great feature, Apple take step against serious issues of everyday life to prevent bad consequences.
